02 / ChapterThe roles

What we hire for.

Six kinds of work, one standard. Every role touches a client's market directly, and every person in it reads the weekly report with their name on it.

Sales development

Open conversations with enterprise buyers across email, phone and social, in the client's market and on its hours. Write messages that prove you did the reading, and read every reply as research.

Research analysts

Build the one-page account map: the change, the committee, the way in and the landmines. Commit to a verdict on every account and get sharper every time a seller uses your work.

New York · remote

Data specialists

Build target lists on evidence, verify contacts by hand, and keep client CRMs honest by making every conversation correct the record. Comfortable with privacy rules in more than one jurisdiction.

New York · remote

In-market sales professionals

Senior sellers who carry a client's card in a city the client cannot cover: the dinner, the site visit, the executive introduction, the stage of the deal that does not happen on a screen.

By market · on demand

Events producers

Run the before and the after of conferences, hosted dinners and round-tables as a pipeline channel: the target list, the calendar, the follow-up within two days.

New York · travel

Client leads

Own an engagement end to end: the targets, the team, the weekly report and the quarterly review. Former quota-carriers who would rather build the opening than present the deck.

03 / ChapterHow we work

What it is like on a Tuesday.

Evidence over activityNobody here is measured on dials or sends. Conversations with the right people, meetings that hold, and what the market taught us this week.
Your name on the reportEvery weekly report names who did what. It is how clients know who to thank, and how we know who to promote.
Operators, not agenciesThe people who run the work have carried quotas and opened markets. You learn the craft from people who did it, not from a playbook written by someone who read about it.
Every timezone, on purposeWe work our clients' buyers' hours. That means early starts for some, late finishes for others, and a schedule agreed with you rather than imposed on you.
04 / ChapterThe process

How hiring works here.

Four conversations, no trick questions, and a piece of real work in the middle so that both sides know what they are agreeing to.

1
A note from youEmail us with what you have done and what you want to do next. A CV is useful; a paragraph in your own words is better.
2
A conversation with a client leadForty minutes on the work: what you have opened, what went wrong, what you would do differently.
3
A piece of the jobResearch an account, draft an opening message, or map a committee, with the brief we would give a colleague. Paid for roles where it takes more than an hour.
4
Meet the teamThe people you would work with, and the clients' markets you would work in. Then a decision within the week.

05 / ChapterOpen roles

Tell us what you want to open.

We post specific openings on this page when we have them. We read every note we receive whether or not a role is listed, because the best people we have hired wrote to us before we had a vacancy.

Write to crm@icebreakurz.com with "Careers" in the subject line. Tell us which of the six kinds of work fits you, which markets or languages you know, and where you are based.

Send us a note

Your move.

Tell us the market you want opened and what is in the way. A senior member of the team will come back to you with a point of view on the first three moves.
